Driver CPC Periodic Training

(Certificate of Professional Competence)

 

The Driver CPC Training Course is for LGV and PCV drivers who drive professionally throughout the UK. It has been developed as a requirement of the EU Directive 2003/59, which is designed to improve the knowledge and skills of professional LGV and PCV drivers throughout their working life.
PTF are a JAUPT accredited training provider for Driver CPC Periodic Training.

 

Delegate Profile

All LGV and PCV drivers must attend a minimum of 35 hours of Driver CPC approved training before 2014.

 

Driver CPC Periodic Training Course Content

We currently offer a 7 hour Driver CPC approved 1 to 1 Driver Training day which covers the following:

 

 

  • Pre Start Driver Documentation

  • Vehicle Walk-Around and Daily Maintenance Checks

  • Loading Procedures

  • Safe And Fuel Efficient Driving

  • Actions to be carried out in an Emergency

  • Defensive Driving Techniques

  • Health & Safety Awareness

  • Delivery Procedures

  • End of Shift Requirements

  • Driver Debrief and Recommendations

 

Course Duration
One day (start time is flexible depending on customers’ needs)


Location
Nationwide at locations to suit clients.


Benefits

Simple:  This is ‘On-The-Job’ training given by industry driving experts whilst the driver carries out his daily tasks. The driver and trainer are free to discuss practical issues as they occur and feedback is given on industry best practice.


Fees
Course fees on request.


Certification
Delegates receive a JAUPT accredited 7 hours Driver CPC training certificate and their CPC records will be updated on the DSA website for future reference.
